Andros is a very green island. Endless olive groves and fields of fruit trees create beautiful landscapes. Andros is known for its flowing waters (waterfalls and rivers) and the famous Sariza spring with its therapeutic drinking water.
To explore the island, simply rent a car or stroll the streets, breathe in the sea breeze, hold the golden sand of the beaches in your hands, count the countless chapels, and quench your thirst at the springs.
The main port of Andros is Gavrio. The island's capital is Chora. Situated on a narrow peninsula on the east coast, it boasts remarkable architecture. Numerous ancient mansions have been preserved on the island. It was here that many shipowners lived, making significant donations.

Walking through the narrow streets, you can admire neoclassical mansions, scattered chapels, and the majestic Church of Panagia Theoskepasti. Also worth visiting are the Venetian Castle, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Maritime Museum.
Batsi is the cosmopolitan part of the island. Picturesque villages with whitewashed houses await tourists every year. In the picturesque village of Batsi, you'll find well-developed infrastructure, luxury hotels, and apartments with balconies offering stunning views.

Visit the monasteries
- Panachrantou Monastery. Inside, you'll find rare paintings, manuscripts, and vestments.
- Agia Marina Monastery
- Saint Nicholas Monastery. Inside, you'll find the miraculous paintings "Myrolysus" and "Rhizis of Jesse," discovered in the 16th century in the Church of Blachernon in Constantinople, as well as a 17th-century icon of Saint Nicholas, embroidered with silk and hair from the nun Leontia of Smyrna. The monastery houses the holy head of St. Nicholas, holy relics, works of art, and religious treasures. - The Monastery of Agios Mamas (Roman Abramovich is said to visit this monastery annually).
Beaches
Crowded beaches can be found in Basi, Gavrio, San Pietro, Kypri, Saint Cypriano, and Chrysi Ammo (between Gavrio and Batsi).
Near Chora, there are many good beaches: Fello, Aprovato, Korti, Zorkou, Paleopoli, and Chalkiolomion.
The unique Grias to Pidima beach is located near Korti, featuring a large cliff approximately 15 meters high.
Achla Beach is only accessible by boat charters in Chora.
Around Andros Island, you'll find all the necessary infrastructure, luxury hotels, and apartments. For transportation around the island, there are internal buses or taxis. You'll find rentals for cars, motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles.
